He Was Highly Esteemed

The Eastern Courier, of Hertford, Perquimans Co., in the issue of last week, 
contains a column article on the death of Mr. James W. Mullen, notice of whose 
death appeared in the Observer last week. Deceased was an uncle of Mr. W.N. 
Mullen, of this city. The Courier speaks of him as one of the most highly 
esteemed citizens of that place. "He was a representative man," says the 
Courier, "and wielded that influence that a good man always does." The tribute 
throughout is earnest and enthusiastic.
