Person County, NC – Person Library Company - Act to Amend Act, 1828 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ An Act to repeal an act, passed in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifteen, entitled "an act to incorporate the Person Library Company." Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the above recited act be, and the same is hereby repealed. And be it further enacted, That Nathaniel Norfleet, Thomas Megehee, Currie Barnett, John Holloway, Isham Edwards, and Robert Vanhook, be, and they are hereby appointed commissioners, with full power and authority to sell and dispose of the books belonging to the said library, and pay the proceeds to the respective stockholders or their legal representatives.
