DESERTED
Friday, Oct. 3, 1817, Raleigh Minerva   DESERTED from this rendezvous, on the 
15th day of Sept. inst., JOHN JONES, a soldier of the United States Army. He 
was born in Person County, aged 26 years, six feet high, of fair complexion, 
blue eyes, brown hair, and by profession, a carpenter. He was enlisted on the 
20th day of Aug., 1817. A reward of ten dollars will be given for the 
apprehension of the said deserter and all expenses paid.
