On Tuesday, the 30th April, between SIMEON COTHAN ESQ.’S and PAIN’S Tavern in Person County, I lost out of my pocket a little memorandum book, in which was $20, our State Bank notes. Three bonds, to wit, one on my son, THOMAS VASS for 89 pounds, eight shillings Virginia money; the second on JOHN HART for 26 pounds, Virginia, credit on same. The other was WILLIAM KERNEY against JOHN JOHNSON for $10, as well as I can recollect, of Granville County. I take this method to forewarn all persons from trading for the said bonds, as I have made no assignment of them to any person whatever.
