ALBERT G. TOMLINSON and MR. DAVID JEFFREYS, both of Person County, passed over into Virginia to settle an affair of honor. CAPT. TOMLINSON was attended by his friend, MR. YANCEY of Granville: MR. JEFFREYS, by MR. JAMES SATTERFIELD. They fought with pistols, and the distance which they shot at each other was quite respectful. We are happy to state that no injury was done either of the parties. MR. JEFFREYS felt something warm pass his cheek. Some say a few twigs suffered amputation from their proximity to CAPTAIN TOMLINSON; others say a sapling was desperately wounded. After an exchange of shot, the affair was adjusted to their mutual satisfaction. – Milton Int. Additional Comments: CAPT. ALBERT G. TOMLINSON,DAVID JEFFREYS,MR. YANCEY,JAMES SATTERFIELD.
