Roy Wooden Bohanon Sr. died January 9th in Veteran's Affairs Medical Center
He was 83.
Born in Charlotte County, Virginia
He served in World War II
He was employed at Collins & Aikman Corporation prior to his military service
On CB radio he was known as "Lone Eagle"
Member of Disabled Veterans Association, Veterans of Foreign War and Cavel Baptist
Church
Funeral: Conducted January 11, Brooks & White Funeral Home chapel
Officiating: Rev. Allen Admire
Burial: Burchwood cemetery
Survivors: wife, Mrs. Adell Saunders Bohanon
2 sons, Roy Bohanon Jr of Roxboro and William Monroe Bohanon of Belmont
2 daughters, Mrs. Jane B. Buchanan and Mrs. Linda B. Clayton, both of Hillsborough
3 sisters, Mrs. Ruth B. Snead, Mrs. Fannie Lee B. Parrott and Mrs. Dolly B. Jacobs,
all of Durham
10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren
