H.E. Knowles. Burial was in the Moore family cemetery, Roxboro, N.C. Pallbearers were Frank Moore, Clint Moore, R.B. Pixley, Lawrence Robertson, Linwood Williams, and Mutt Moore. Pixley, 66, of 129 Magnolia Ave. died Friday at 6:45 a.m. in a Portsmouth nursing home. A native of Roxboro, N.C., he was the husband of Mrs. Lillie B. Pixley and a son of Warren Clark and Mrs. Minnie Moore Pixley. He was a retired barber and Methodist. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nurney Whitley and Mrs. L. Earl Story of Franklin and Mrs. John D. Pond of Front Royal; two sons, Elmer C. Pixley of Chase City and W. Wayne Pixley of Franklin; three sisters, Mrs. Coy Clayton and Mrs. John Lunsford of Roxboro and Mrs. Banks Peed of Angier, N.C.; a brother, Alfred Pixley of Roxboro; and nine grandchildren.
