Funeral service to be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. from the home for 
William R. Tilley of Mt. Tirzah Community, who died Wednesday morning.
He was 74.
Elder Lex Chandler and Rev. O.L. Riggs officiated.
Burial in the family cemetery nearby.
He had been ill for 15 months.
He passed away at 11:00 Wednesday morning.
Death attributed to old age and a complication of diseases pertinent to old 
age.
Survivors:
Wife: Mrs. Beatie Gates Tilley
Four sons: W.E., Clarence O., Fred W. Tilley, all of Person county and E.R. 
Tilley of Columbus, Ohio
Four daughters: Mrs. Lessie Clayton and Miss Gertrude Tilley both of this 
county, Mesdames Lelia Garrett and Myrtle Ryan, both of Columbus, Ohio
Three brothers: Joe and Jim Tilley of Bahama and John Tilley of California
One sister: Miss Bettie Tilley of Bahama
Seven grandchildren
A prominent farmer in the Mt. Tirzah Community.
