PERSON COUNTY, NC - VITALS - Marriage Bond, Elliott Lea to Lucy Wright

Know all men by these present that we Elliott Lea & Carter Lea are held and 
firmly unto his Alexander Martin gov in the full sum of five hundred pounds to 
be paid unto Alexander Martin governor and his successors in office.  To the 
which payment is only and truly to become __________ our selves firmly by 
these presents seals with our seals and dates this 6th day of October 1792.  
The condition of the above obligation is such that thence the above bond 
Elliott Lea has the duty of the date of these presents obtain a license to be 
joined in matrimony with Lucy Wright.  If therefore thence Elliott Lea & Lucy 
Wright found not be joined together in Holy matrimony then the above 
obligations shall be void otherwise to remain in full & foremost effect.
