I give and bequeath to my daughter Prudence Paine during her natural life and no longer, the tract of land whereon I now live on Deep Creek containing about one hundred and nine acres adjoining the land of Joseph Lunsford and others, and after her death I give and I bequeath the said tract of land to my grandson Robert Paine, to him and to his heirs forever. I give and bequeath to my daughter Paine, my two negro slaves (to wit) Rachel and Phil, to her my said daughter, and to her assigns and heirs forever. I do hereby ratify and confirm all gift or gifts heretofore absolutely made to my sons John Bumpass, and Gabriel Bumpass or to either of them. All the residue of my property I direct to be sold and out of the proceeds thereof all my just debts to be paid and the surplus money arising from the sales and otherwise that may be remaining after discharging my just debts to be equally divided between my sons John Bumpass and Gabriel Bumpass and my daughters Molly McVay, Sally Yarbrough, Elizabeth Bumpass and Lucy Jennings. Lastly, I do hereby nominate and appoint my son Robert Bumpass and friend Samuel Duken executors to this my last will and testament. Given under my hand and seal the day and date before mentioned.
