Bradsher, to her and her heirs forever 3 I give my Trotter tract of land to my daughter Elizabeth M. Winstead & my son John B. Bradsher, to be divided between them as follows: begin the line at a hickory on Mill Creek, near a water fence, W. G. Winstead's corner, running thence north with the fence such distances, as that turning & running West to Paylor's line, will cutoff one hundred acres for Elizabeth, which is to be her & her heirs and the remainder to be John & his heirs; 4 I give to my son Richard T Bradsher, my vincent Sir(?) Tract of land, to him and his heirs forever 5 I gave to my daughter Souisa Jones, now decreased, in her life time, & put into her possession, several slaves, which I now confirm. 6 I gave & put into the possession of my daughter Elizabeth M. Winstead, several negroes, all of which I now confirm together with their present & future increase 7 I gave & put into the possession of my son Richard several slaves, which I now confirm, with all their present & future increase. 8 I gave to my son Alexander and put into his possession several slaves, which I now confirm with their present and future increase 9 I gave to my daughter Sally T. Bradsher my negro woman Candis & all her children & their future increase, also three beds & furniture, my piano, & one horse, her choice. 10 I give to my son John B. three beds & furniture. 11 The beds & furniture to Sallie & John, & the piano & horse to Sallie, are not to be noticed in any future valuation or allotment of my property, as I have given my other children such things, & I do not desire such small matters to be noticed with any of them. 12 I desire all the balance of my estate to be divided into six equal parts, &one part I give to William G. Winstead in trust for the maintenance & support of the children of my deceased daughter Souisa Jones, to manage for them as he may think best, giving to each his or her share as they may arrive at age or marry. And if either or any of them dies before the arrival at age or marriage then such share or shares to go to the survivors or survivor. One sixth part to said W. G. Winstead in trust for the maintenance & support of my son Richard during his life, & if his wife survive him then in trust for the support of her & Richard's children so long as she may live single, and at her death or marriage, to Richard's children, share & share alike; one sixth part to my daughter Elizabeth M. Winstead One sixth part to my son Alexander, one sixth part to my son John B., & one sixth part to my daughter Sallie. But in making this division I desire it to be considered before it is made, that I have given as aforesaid, negroes & lands to some of my children, to wit to my daughter Louisa negroes which I value at twenty five hundred dollars, & to Elizabeth negroes which I value at twenty five hundred dollars, & one hundred acres of the Trotter land which is to be valued as herein after provides for, & to Richard negroes which I value at two thousand dollars, & the V. Sir(?) land which I value at one thousand dollars, & to Alexander negroes which I value at two thousand, & a tract of land which he sold which I value at three thousand & to Sallie negroes, to wit Candis & children, which I value at twenty five hundred dollars, and the home tract of land which is to be valued, & to John B. a part of the Trotter land which is be valued, and the several, & the several amounts given to each as aforesaid is to be charged to them in the division, so as to make the lot of each & every one equal in value when added to what has been given both in land & negroes, the object being to make each child equal in the end & no one to have advantage of the other -- the share to Winstead for Souisa Jones' children to be charged to what was given to the mother, & the share to Winstead for Richard, to be charged with what was given to Richard. 13 Some of the land as given above I have not valued & I desire that my executors call to their aid two discreet men & they to choose a third in(?) & disinterested, & they shall make the valuation of the lands, & the valuation & allotment of the negroes, & all other property, & what they do & put in writing shall be binding. 4 I hereby appoint my son-in-law W.
