PERSON COUNTY, NC - WILLS - Letter, Estate of Nancy O. Bradsher ----¤¤¤---- Office of H. C. Moorman Attorney-At-Law Somerville, Tenn., Feb. 16th 1884 In Re: Est. Nancy O. Bradsher J. C. Pass Esq Clk & O Dear Sir: Mr. Thomas Stafford and R. H. Bradsher who live near this place are now in my office and request me to write to you in reference to share & interest in above estate due Mrs. Martha Stafford nee Bradsher & now wife of Thomas Stafford & one of the heirs of Nancy O. Bradsher decd. who was her mother---Elizabeth Bradsher the wife of R. H. Bradsher is dead & has been for more than 20 years, she being a daughter of Nancy O. Bradsher. The said Elizabeth left surviving her 6 children viz: Stephen G. Bradsher-W.M. Bradsher, J. O. Bradsher, Josephine Johnson, Susan E. Andrews, Martha Bradsher, all of whom are of age, and one grandchild Thomas Yancey who will be 21 years old Oct. 2, 1884. These are the only heirs of Elizabeth Bradsher, decd and would be entitled to the fund in your hands due her under the statutes of descent & distribution in this state and I suppose would be under the statutes of N. C. Mrs. Martha Stafford wishes to collect the amount due her $112.96 as per your letter now before me. Please prepare such a receipt as you desire and forward same to me and I will have Mr. Stafford & his wife to sign same and acknowledge the execution thereof before a Notary Public here and return same to you & upon its receipt you can remit the amt. in P. O. orders to Somerville P. O. Fayette County, Tennessee-- Also prepare a receipt for the amount due the above named heirs of Elizabeth Bradsher who are of age and they can sign and acknowledge same in said manner and you can in like manner remit to them. If necessary an affidavit can also be prepared at attached to the receipt showing kinship. --The amt due to the Grand Child one seventh (1/7) will have to remain in your hands until he is of age, when he can collect and receipt for same. I would prepare the Vouchers myself but as you know the precise voucher which is proper & which you desire think it best that you prepare & forward item--Your early attention will oblige.
