Jacob Dixon's will taken from Person County Court Records, dated 
October 10, 1854

My will and desire by that all of my just debts to be paid, after the 
payment of my debts, that the balance of any estate to be equally 
divided between all of my living children, except one negro Virginia 
I give to my two daughters, Leatha and Frances DIXON.  I give to my 
two daughters Leatha and Frances DIXON all of my crops that I have at 
my death.  My will is that my two daughters Leatha and Frances DIXON 
to have and share in the balance of my estate with the rest of my 
living children after taking this above name legacies, except in the 
balances of my negroes they are to have know.  My desire is that the 
whole of my estate to be sold at public sale except the portion I 
have given to my two named daughters.
