Person County, North Carolina, know all men by these presents that we 
John DIXON and H SATTERFIELD acknowledge ourselves indebted to the 
state of North Carolina in the sum of Two hundred eighty five dollars 
to which payment will and timely to be made we bind ourselves our 
heirs executors and administrators jointly and servally firmly by 
these presents sealed with our seals and dated this the 16th day of 
Dec 1862
