In the name of God Amen I Isaac Vanhook of the County of Person and State of North Carolina being in a low state of health but of a sound memory thanks be to almighty God for it do make constitute and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following. First my will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses by paid... Secondly, I lend to my Beloved Wife Sarah Vanhook during her natural life or widowhood all my estate real and personal for her support and to raise and school my children except as I shall hereafter mention... Fo? with my Will is that my Executors pay of to each of my Children as they marry or come of age as much out of my Estate as will make each of them equal to what I gave to my Daughter Polly Wood so as not to Distress my aforesaid wife or leave the rest of my children in a sufering state. Further my desire is that my Executors may equally divide my whole estate real and personal in as just and equatable manner as they or a majority of them ____Between my aforesaid wife and children at the marriage of my aforesaid Wife and if she dies before she marries then my will is that the whole of my estate be equally divided between my children having regard to what any of them have had before the said division and further my will is that Caty Rogers, daughter of my Daughter Caty deceased have at her lawful age or marriage the ____ and ______that was intended for my Daughter Caty to wit such as Peter Rogers have not received or hereafter may receive and my Daughter Caty ___ her heirs named to be considered in any hereafter division and further my will is my Estate shall ____out to make each of my children equal with to what I give my Daughter Polly Wood a surficiency over my will is that my son Isaac Davie Vanhook shall have one hundred dollars over and above the rest of my children. And further my will is that my Executors or a majority of them have full power to sell any of my lands or other property and to purchase lands or other property for the benefit of my estate and comfort of my wife and I hereby make and ordain my beloved wife Sarah Vanhook, Andrew Barton Wood and William Davie Executors of this my last will and testament together with Jacob Vanhook I also apoint one of my Executors to this my last will and testament in witnefs hereunto I have set my hand and seal this sixth day of February Eighteen Hundred.
