Galloway Papers, East Carolina University Manuscript Coll. #121.1.F, J. 
Y. Joyner Library, Greenville, NC. The Campbells were neighbors of, and 
intermarried with, families in the southern and eastern portions of Pitt 
County. James Campbellšs wife was Lydia Chapman.

Mary Campbell Daughter of James and Lydia his wife was born July 16th 
1775

Lovey their Daughter was born April 9th 1777

Susanna their Daughter was born September 4th 1781

Thomas their Son was born March 19th 1784

James their Son was born November 8th 1785

Sarah their daughter was born March 19th 1788

Lydia their daughter was born May 9th 1790
