Dennis Mercer Cemetery

This cemetery is located near Fountain in Pitt or Edgecombe Co. The road that 
goes to is located between Saratoga and Fountain. At the time I was there, 
there was an old store building by the road. I am not sure if it is still there. 
Etta Mercer Moore was that that day. She said that at one time there were many 
more graves there. She did not know what had happened to the stones. Her address 
is Box 161, Fountain, NC. (The cemetery is in the woods in back of and to the 
side of the house.)

Jane Mercer, born May 2, 1834, July 16, 1911 

Dennis, born Jan. 7, 1818, died Oct. 16, 1815 

William Henry Mercer (The stone is still there, but he was moved to the cemetery 
  in Fountain) 

Amanda Margaret Mercer, Nov. 10, 1860, Oct. 2, 1934 

I have a note here with just names: Dennis, June, and William Robert Mercer. 
Since this was written 1973 and is is now 1991, I don't remember why I wrote them. 
Perhaps Mrs. Moore said that they were children of Dennis.)
