Samuel Branton died 1800; md. ________
He had 190 acres in Craven Co. (later annexed in Lenoir Co.)

Lenoir Co. Deed--Oct. 17, 1800, Samuel Branton Sr. to son Samuel Branton, 
Jr. 194 acres 
Notes:
Laney Jackson of Duplin Co. 1820 (was in Lenoir Co. 1800)
Moses Rountree lived within a mile or two of Samuel Branton 
Reddick Little was not a man of credit
Edward Hutchins left Lenoir County in 1796

Children:
1] William Branton of Lenoir Co.
2] Samuel Branton, Jr. (died by 1829); md. _____; had daughter: Elizabeth A. 
Branton...
3] Elizabeth Branton; md. Mathias Holstein of Borough of Norristown, PA
4] Sarah Branton; md. George Greene of Pitt County her promise to name the 
baby after him. Being a family of honor and always keeping their word, Mary 
and Joseph kept their word and named the baby girl William....
