Know ye that I, Luke Albritton, hath bargained and sold to John Stocks one negro woman 
named Jinne, supposed to be about twenty-two years old, for the sum of three hundred dollars, 
to me in hand paid before the delivery of said negro, and I the said Albritton do warrant and 
defend the above mentioned negro to the said Stocks, all right and title to him and his heirs 
forever. Witness my hand and seal this the [no date] day of January 1844.

Then this bill of sale from Luke Albritton to John Stocks was exhibited into open court and 
proved in due form of law by the oath of James Nelson, a subscribing witness thereto, let it be 
registered.
