Now therefore know all men that I, Thomas Cannon, for and in consideration of the sum of six thousand seven hundred and fifty-one dollars to me well-secured to be paid before the sealing and delivery of these presents, I have this day bargained and sold unto the said Nancy Cannon to her, her executors, administrators and assigns the said negroes named Bob, Martha, Mary, Henry, Fed, Just and Sally, hereby warranting and defending the title to said negroes so far as my commission authorizes me to do, and no farther.
