This is to certify and convey unto Willis Nobles, a certain negro girl by the name of Sarah, aged 
about six years, and for the consideration of three hundred and fifty dollars to me in hand payed 
by the said Nobles at the signing of the above, have for myself, my heirs, and assigns, 
bargained and sold, warranted and defend the right of said girl to the said Nobles, his heirs and 
assigns forever. In testimony whereof I do hereunto set my hand and seal this 16th day of 
August 1852.

Signed, sealed and delivered in 
presence of
Lamuel Chesnutt

March 4th 1858. Then was the within bill of sale from Nahum Garris to Willis Nobles exhibited 
before me and acknowledged by said Garris as his act and deed. Let it be registered.
