[Ref: Book E, Page 172-173, Pitt County Deeds] [Research Note: John Haddock of Pitt 
County, North Carolina.]  This Indenture made this thirtyeth Day one thousand Seven 
hundred and Sevety ... David Sutten [sic] of the County of Cravin [sic] in the 
province of Carolina of the one part and John hattuck [sic] of the County of Pitt of 
the other part witnesseth the said David Sutten [sic] for and in Consideration of 
Twenty pounds Harlin Money of grant to him in hand paid by the afore John Hattock [sic] 
at and upon the insealing of these presents of do hereby acknowledge ye and myself 
with fully satisfyed and contened hath bargained Sold assigned Sealed over to by these 
... asign and set over unto the said John hattock [sic] heirs and assigns forever a 
certain track of contaiming one hundred acres lying and being in the county of Pitt and 
the Sedar Swamp beginning at a pine in the sedar Swap medows runing to a pole then N 68 
degrees East 127 pole then N 22 W 12 and from thence to the begining as by the  ... Date 
one Thousand Seven hundred and seven more or less with all the saim ... all names of 
buildens houses orchards ... sains wood land ground allond all many proffits and 
conveinece thereanto pepertaing and proffits and all Rits title prove claim or demands 
whatsoever of him the said David Sutten [sic] and to the land and premises and .... 
thereof to have and to hold the said Land and  ... unto him the said John hattuck [sic] 
his heirs and  ... forever further more the said David Sutten [sic] my self my heirs 
executors administros ... of them to covenant and in gage the said land premises unto 
him the said John hattuck [sic] heirs and assigns forever against any Lawfull demand of 
any person whatsover hereafter ... defend the said Land and premises ... him the said 
John hattuck [sic] his heirs and  ... forever form all and all maner of form  .... 
grants or seals or in comberances whatsovever by him the said John hattuck [sic] his 
heirs and as ... him and their one proper use and behoof ... in Witness hareof I have 
hereants set my hand and Seal Day and year above written Signed Sealed and Delivered.
