Beginning at a water oak Solomon Albersons corner thence west one hundred and sixty poles to a pine Albersons other corner then south two hundred and nine poles to a pine John Moyes corner thence east eighty eight poles to a pine said Pipkins corner thence north twenty west one hundred and sixty five poles with said Pipkins old line to his corner thence east one hundred and sixty poles to the run of the Creek thence with the run of the Creek tothe Beginning as by the Plat hereunto annexed doth appear; together with all woods, waters, mines, minerals, hereditaments and appurtenances to the said land belonging or appertaining: To hold to the said Lewis Pipkin, his heirs and assigns forever, yielding and paying to us such sums of money, yearly or otherwise, as our General Assembly from time to time may direct. Provided always, that the said Lewis Pipkin shall cause this grant to be registered in the Register’s office of our said County of Pitt within twelve months from the date hereof; otherwise the same shall be void and of no effect. In testimony whereof, we have caused these our letters to be made patented our Great Seal to be hereunto affixed. Witness: Sam Johnston, Esquire, our Governor, Captain General and Commander in Chief, at Edenton, the twenty first day of March in the thirteenth year of our Independence, and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine.
