27 Dec 1815 - Indenture between Roderick Powell of Greene County to Joel 
Patrick, $2000 for 150 acres of land in Pitt County, adjacent to north side 
of Nuse River, fork of Grandal Creek, south side of Baxleys Swamp, David 
Kennedys line, Capt Henry Smith land. Land purchased of Jesse Gardner.
Also a tract purchased of Elizabeth Gardner containing 50 acres being the 
upper part of the patent by James Browning and left unto the said Elizabeth 
by will from her grandfather Edward Gardner.
Witnesses: Jesse Gardner and John C Patrick
Pitt County Court Feby Term 1819
Deed exhibited in court and ordered to be registered
