Date: 29 Mar 1858

Received five hundred dollars of Frances A. Rountree for negro [girl] Silla, aged nine years.  We 
the undersigned do warrant [and] defend the said negro to the said Frances A. Ro[untree], her 
heirs and assigns, against the lawful claim or claims [of] any person or persons whatever. Given 
under our hands [and] seals, March 29th, 1858.
