Tripp a certain negro woman and child by the name of Penny, and her child by the name of Caroline, the age of said woman is supposed to be about forty-four years, and the child about three years, for the sum of two hundred and eighty-five dollars, the title of said negroes I warrant to be good, free and clear of the claim or claims of any person, and further I bind myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns to defend the title the said negroes unto the said Benjamin Tripp, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever free and clear of the lawful claim or claims of all and every person whatsoever.
