All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Carrie Fleischer - carriefleischer@hotmail.com Deed Book HH Page 25 Grantor: Silas TISON Grantee: Lunica FRIZZLE Enslaved person(s): Fanny and her children Julia, Guilford and Greene Date: 21 Jul 1836 Know all men by these presents, that I, Silas Tison of the County of Pitt in the State of North Carolina, for and in consideration of the love and affection I have for my daughter Lunica Frizzle, have given, granted, and forever transferred, and by these presents do give, grant and transfer the following named negro slaves viz, negro woman Fanny and her three children named Julia, Guilford, and Greene, to have and to hold to the said Lunica Frizzle, the aforesaid slaves forever, and I do hereby covenant with the said Lunica Frizzle, her heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns that I and my heirs, executors and administrators shall and will forever warrant and defend the title to the said slaves against all persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof I, the said Silas Tison, have hereunto set my hand and seal the 21st day of July in the year of our Lord 1836. Then this Deed of Gift was exhibited into open court and proved in due form of law by the oath of Marshall Dickinson, a subscribing witness thereto: ordered to be registered. Attest. Arch.
