Money to him in hand pd by the sd Phillip Pipkin the receipt he doth hereby acknowledge and confess that he is therewith fully satisfied content’d and paid he the sd Luke White had grant’d bargain’d and sold alined and confirm’d and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell alien and confirm unto the sd Phillip Pipkin his heirs and assigns forever a certain parcel of land lying and being in Dobbs County and Pitt County containing one hun’d and fifty acres and in the Fork of Little Contentnea being a parcel of land that the sd Luke White bought of James Mackelwean Esqr beginning at a white oak on east side and runs No. 60 east 220 pole to a stake thence So. 30 East 60 pole through a pocoson to a red oak thence down the Reedy Branch the various courses thereof thence up the creek the meanders thereof to the first station reference being thereto had may more fully appear and all profits commodities advantages hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the sd parcel of land belonging or in any wise appertaining with the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rent and services of the sd premises and every part thereof and all the estate title claim and demand of him the sd Luke White of in and to the sd parcel of land primeses and every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the sd parcel of land and all and singular the premises above mention’d and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the sd Phillip Pipkin his heirs and assigns to the any proper use benefit and behoof of the sd Phillip Pipkin his heirs and assigns forever and the sd Luke White for him and his heirs the sd parcel of land and premises and every part thereof against him and his heirs free and clear of and from all manner of incumbrance the rents now due and hereafter becoming due to the Earl of Granville or his assigns thereon always except’d shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
