Date: 29 Mar 1845

This indenture made 29th March between Council Wooten on the one part and Levi Dawson on 
the other part, have bargained, sold and conveyed to Levi Dawson, a negro slave girl named 
Silvey, about fifteen years old, and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars in hand 
paid to Council Wooten and for the better security of the title, his heirs, executors and 
administrators will defend the same from the lawful claims of all others. In testimony whereof I 
set my hand and seal.

Then this bill of sale was exhibited into open court and acknowledged in due form of law by 
Council Wooten to be his act and deed, let it be registered.
