EUNA BAKER COLLINS

   SUFFOLK – A funeral service for Euna Baker Collins, 79, was held at 2:30 
p.m. Saturday in Somerton United Methodist Church by the Rev. Albert Crockett 
and Dr. R.E. Brittle. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery. R.W. Baker Funeral 
Home, Suffolk, had charge.

   Mrs. Collins died Thursday in a hospital.

   A native of Pitt County, N.C., she was the widow of Joseph Millard Collins. 
She had retired from the Economy Shop of Suffolk as a seamstress after 26 
years. Mrs. Collins was a member of Somerton United Methodist Church and a 
past Patron of the church women. She taught the intermediate class of 27 years.

   Survivors include two sons, Earl Hunter Collins of Franklin and Joseph E. 
Collins of Suffolk; two sisters, Lillian Parker of Suffolk and Othineal Smith 
of Portsmouth; a brothers, Marvin Eugene Baker of Gates, N.C.; seven 
grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
