HERBERT BRADFORD DOUGHTY

   At his home in Greenville, N.C., died on Monday, August 25, H.B. Doughty, 
paint contractor, and father of L.L. Doughty of this town.

   Mr. Doughty is survived by his wife, Mrs. Janie Bell Doughty; two sons, 
Walter Doughty of Washington, D.C., and L.L. Doughty of Franklin; three 
daughters, Mrs. E.R. Byrum and Mrs. Ivey Coward of Greenville, and Mrs. L.W. 
James of Norfolk; a brother, Claude Doughty of Edward, N.C.; and fourteen 
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

   Funeral services for Mr. Doughty were held at the residence Wednesday 
afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
