McCann, 62, suffered a fatal heart attack in his tank truck in Suffolk on Tuesday. A native of North Carolina, McCann was employed by Ryder Tank Line, Inc. of Franklin. He and his wife, Mrs. Sue Whitt McCann, have made their home in Franklin for the last eight years. The body was taken Tuesday from W.J.M. Holland Funeral Home in Franklin to Wrenn Yeates Funeral Home in Danville. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending arrangements to bring two sons home from Viet Nam. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Floyd McCann, Jr. of Franklin, Donald Wayne McCann and Jerry David McCann, both of Viet Nam, and Garland Ray McCann of Danville; two stepsons, Richard Whitt of Grifton, N.C. and Robert Holt Whitt of Danville; four daughters, Mrs. Bessie Barker of Franklin, Mrs. Thelma Hyler, Mrs. Dorothy Williamson and Mrs. Wilmer McGhee, all of Danville; one brother, Harvey McCann of Alexandria, and 11 grandchildren.
