Witnesseth that I John Pipkin of the State of North Carolina and county of Pitt have for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twelve pounds ten shillings lawful money to me in hand paid by Joel Moye of the aforesaid state & county before the sealing and delivery of these presents bargained and sold the said Joel Moye a certain tract or parcel of land in Pitt County aforesaid on the west side of Little Contentnea Creek and east side of Middle Swamp bounded as followeth: beginning at a small sweet gum in Jesse Dunnings line Solomon Albertsons corner and runs with said Dunnnings line south one hundred and twenty two pole to a stake in the center of several oaks then west one hundred and seventy eight pole to a small pine on the side of a branch then north forty poles to a water oak in a branch Solomon Albertsons corner then with said Albertsons line north fifty four degrees east one hundred and thirty four pole to a post oak then with Albertsons other line east to the beginning containing by estimation one hundred and three acres it being a part of patent granted unto John Moye bearing date August the 25th 1780 and conveyed to said John Pipkin by deed bearing date October 5th 1795 which said bargained land and premises I the said John Pipkin do for my self my heirs and assigns warrant and for ever defend unto the said Joel Moye his heirs and assigns with all the privileges hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining against the lawful claim of all and every person having any just right or title.
