Pitt County, NC - Marriage Records

Charles Haddock was born in Pitt County, NC, and married there in North Carolina 
Miss Penelope Mills, daughter of Anthony Mills who died in Craven leaving a will in 
Craven that names Penny as his daughter. 
 
The below is the church record where they are buried in Kansas.
 
Mt. Orum Baptist Church, Redfield, KS, of Bourbon Co. was organized by the Pettys 
and Haddocks.  The cemetery records state:  Mrs. Haddoc, Charlie Haddock, Lizie, 
daughter of Mr. Joel Pettie, Natan Pettie, and Joel's daughter.  Mrs. Malissa Larew, 
Mrs. Nancy Colt, Mrs. Penelope Pettie, Phoebe Milendes in Sect No 5, Blk 1, Lot 1.  

One isle between lots one and two are Mrs. Sarah Jones Correll and the two children, 
A. Lance and William Branch.  

Charter members of Mt. Orum Baptist Church were: Nathan and Rachel Haddock, Lyscum 
Petty, Phebe F. Petty, Penelope Petty and J.H. Petty.
