Ben Carr applied for licensefor the marriage of Will Carr of Greeneville TS 
age 21year; color C the son of Blount Carr and Lucy Carr the father now 
living, the motherliving resident of Pitt Co. and Telitha James of Carolina TS 
age 20years, color C daughter of Rick James and Fannie James the father 
living, the mother is living, resident of Pitt County.

Ben Carr being duly sworn says that the parties applying for the license are 
of lawful age, and that so for he is informed and believes there is no lawful 
cause or impediment forbidding said marriage.    Aug 24, 1904

JP SC Whichard united Will Carr  and Telitha James  the parties licensed above 
on the 25 day of August 1904 at Residence of bride's father in Carolina TSin 
said county according to law.
