                                    ARTHUR CEMETERY
                                    POLK COUNTY, NC

        To get to this cemetery from Rutherford County, NC go west on 
Poor's Ford Road all the way into Polk County and when you get to the 
sharp left bend in the road, where you turn to the right to go to Green 
River Baptist Church there is a dirt road that kind of goes straight ahead 
at the sharp bend. Take the dirt road for not more than a mile or so and 
another dirt road will go off to the right, don't turn. The cemetery is 
straight ahead about 200 feet on the left in the pine woods. The audit was 
completed December 7, 1997. There were some graves marked with fieldstones.
