Rahab Field applied for pension on her husband's service in Pickens
District, South Carolina in 1851 stating John Field died 9 Aug 1842
at the age of eighty four; that he entered the service in 1782 in
Randolph County NC and served two months in the Light Horse or
Cavalry under Capt. Thos Dougan and he also served three months
under Capt. Wm Gray 

In 1855 in Greenville District, South Carolina, Rahab Field, a resident
of Pickens District, age fifty seven, applied for bounty land under her 
husband's service stating he served in Virginia and also in North Carolina; 
that she was married to John Fields in Pickens District 27 August 1822 by 
Charles Durham, a Methodist minister.

The undersigned one of the heirs of Sion Cooper decsd. petitions your 
Court for an order to sell or divide the Real Estate of Sion Cooper 
decsd lying on waters of Cain Creek adjoining Lands of Jacob Schroeder 
& others containing 132 acres more or less. the following are the heirs

To Rahab Fields, Warren Cooper, Davis Cooper, Nancy Cooper, Hannah Cooper,
Matilda Cooper, Eliz. Starky, Robert F. Morgan, Legal heirs of Sion Cooper
who died intestate, you are hereby required to appear at the Court of
Ordinary to be holden at Pickens Court House on 4th day of Dec next to shew
cause if any you can why the Real Estate of Sion Cooper decsd situate in
Pickens District lying on waters of Cane Creek adjoining lands of Jacob
Shroder and others containing 132 acres should not be sold or divided
equally among the legal heirs. 27 Nov 1854. W. J. Parsons (Seal) South
Carolina, Pickens District. In Ordinary. On the petition for sale of the
Real Estate of Sion Cooper decsd, it is ordered that the tract of land
described in said petition be sold by the sheriff on sale day in Jany on a
credit of twelve months....

Dec 5th 1854. W. J. Parsons (Seal), State of South Carolina, Pickens Dist.
to Rahab Fields, Warren Cooper, Davis Cooper, Nancy Cooper, Hannah Cooper,
