Clark, farmer and stock-raiser, was born Nov. 16, 1848, in Randolph County, NC, fifth son of the late William and Louisa (Worth) Clark, also natives of North Carolina. He attended school in his native State till he was twelve years of age, when he moved with his father's family to Economy, Wayne Co., Ind. He lived at home til he grew to manhood, and Sept. 22, 1880 was married to Emma, daughter of John and Nancy (Smith) Study, who were natives of Wayne County. They have one daughter - Julia. After his marriage Mr. Clark settled on a farm containing eighty-eight acres of highly cultivated land, half a mile east of Economy, which his father had previously purchased. Mr. Clark is a member of the Society of Friends.
