RANDOLPH COUNTY                         March Term, 1843

JOHN R. BROWN, JESSE COX and wife, MALSEY COX, MINERVA ANN ELLIOTT, SAMUEL 
ELLIOTT, JOHN R. ELLIOTT, SARAH ANN ELLIOTT, MALSEY JANE ELLIOTT and FRANKLIN 
Z. ELLIOTT
    
        VS.

ABSALOM HARVEY and wife, EDITH HARVEY, BRAZELTON BROWN, ABSALOM DOLLARHIDE and 
his wife, CHARLOTTE DOLLARHIDE, NANCY HENDRICKS and ZIMRI BROWN.

Partition of Lands

Whereas, the complainants have filed their bill of complaint against the 
defendants in Randolph Court of Equity, alleging that they and the defendants 
are the heirs at law of SAMUEL BROWN, deceased, and it appearing to the 
satisfaction of the Court that the defendants in this case, tenants in common 
of ten tracts of land in said county, which descended to them as heirs of said 
BROWN, are not inhabitants of this State, and praying that the said lands may 
be sold for the purpose of partition among them, it is therefore ordered by 
the Court that publication be made for three successive weeks in the Patriot, 
printed in Greensboro’, that unless the defendant appear at our next Court to 
be held for the County of Randolph in the Court House at Asheboro’ on the 4th  
Monday in September next,  then and there to plead, answer or demur to the 
attachment, judgment will be taken pro confesso against them.

Witness, J. WORTH, Clerk of our Court, at office on the 4th Monday in March, 
1843.
