Randolph & Surry County, NC - Jane Welborne & Sarah Pinnex - Act to Acquire Property ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ An Act securing to Jane Welborne, of Randolph county, and Sarah Pinnex, of Surry county, the property they may hereafter acquire Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the property, whether real or personal, that Jane Welborne, of Randolph county, shall and may hereafter acquire, either by devise, gift or purchase, shall enure to the sole benefit and use of the said Jane, and no other; and that she is hereby empowered to dispose of the same, in any manner that she may think proper. And be it further enacted, That all property, whether real or personal, that Sarah Pinnex, of Surry county, shall and may hereafter acquire, either by devise, gift or purchase, shall enure to the sole benefit and use of the said Sarah, and no other. And that she is hereby empowered to dispose of the same, in any manner that she may think proper; any law, usage or custom to the contrary, notwithstanding.
