WORTH was almost certainly Paul WORTH, who lived next to William MACEY in 1815's Tax List.) IN 1815’s Tax List, William MACEY’s land was next to Joab LAMB and John ROBBINS. His brother Albert MACEY lived next to Nathan LAMB. John LOVE also was in the same district. "J. LAMB probably was Joab LAMB, who lived in the Polecat Creek area of Deep River) , who was brother of Henry LAMB who m. Tabitha WALL) Joab LAMB m. Ann WARREN on Oct 11 1804. There was also a Joseph LAMB in this area but this Joseph was not as closely tied to any WALL family. Because the witnesses lived in the Polecat area, evidently this land was in the New Salem area of Polecat Creek, on the south side of the “Waters of Deep River”.. It probably formed part of the approximately 250 acres which was held by Samuel WALL at his death in 1823, and later passed to his sons Wiley and Jesse. At the time of Jesse's death in 1866, his land was sold for cash by administrator W. A. WOOLEN. Wiley passed his land to son Josiah WALL, who then passed it on to son William WALL, who then sold it in two parcels of 61 and 64 acres in 1883 and 1888. I believe the latter two parcels were on the south side of Deep River on the Greensboro Road, just south of the bridge, in what is now Randleman.
