The Patriot (Greensboro) Sat., April 18, 1829 April 18, 1829
  -- A young man named McDaniel from Randolph County, was killed near Robeson 
Court House, 25th ult. in a reencounter with MEREDITH MESSER. The body of 
McDANIEL was taken to Randolph by his uncle, who happened to be present: 
MESSER escaped.
