The Patriot (Greensboro)  Wed. May 3, 1826 May 3, 1826
   --JESSE UPTON of Randolph County in this State, who killed his wife about a 
year ago, has been arrested and committed to the jail at Knoxville, Tenn. He 
was ploughing inn a field not far distant from that town, and accidentally 
came to the end of the field next to the road as some travelers from North 
Carolina were passing, who recognized him and took him up.
