Jan. 13, 1882
In Mount Ulla township, Rowan County, on Saturday, 7th of January. MRS. 
PLEASANT BROWN died from Bright's disease of the kidneys, from which disease 
she had been declining for several months. She gave birth to an infant a few 
hours before her death, which also died. Mrs. Brown was a worthy lady, and her 
death was peculiarly sad and touching. She leaves a large circle of relatives 
and friends to mourn her early decease.
