Died
In Victoria, Texas on the 12th Dec. 1858 of fever after a lingering illness of 
about three weeks, DUNCAN C. COBLE, aged about 23 years. The deceased was a 
member of the Methodist Protestant church, Randolph circuit, North Carolina 
district, and had only been in Texas about twelve months. In the bloom of 
manhood he left numerous friends and acquaintances to dwell in a strange land, 
among strangers; but alas! the time was short!
