Bulla, Probate Judge I Temple Cranford of the County of Randolph and State of North Carolina, being of sound memory; considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence, do make and publish this my last will and testment in manner and form, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time hereto fore made. First: That my Executor herein named shall provide for my body a decent burial, suitable to the wishes of my relations and friends, and pay all funeral expenses together with my just debts howsoever and to whomsoever owing out of the moneys that may first come to his or her hands as a part or parcel of my Estate. Item2: I give and devise to my beloved wife Quincy Ann Cranford Ohe Hundred and Twenty Five acres of land, the tract on which I now reside, also one tract known as the Varner or Mountain tract containing Seventy Four acres, together with all acer (?) Singulars all my household furniture my horses, waggons, gearing and stock of every kind including my ______ (Illedable) house and every thine pretaining thereto, together with all provisions on handat my death. All the profits or renta accruing from the above willed propertyto be hers during the term of her natural life. Item 3: I give and bequeath to my daughter Christiana, wife of Jason L Andrews, one bureau, one bed and furniture, one side saddle or its equivalent, one set of chairs, one trunk, one cow and calf and one hundred and forty dollars, all of which she has heretofore had. Item4: I give and bequeath to my daughter Martilda (Single woman) one Bureau, one bed and furniture, one set of chairs, all of which she now c;laims and is understood in the family, to be hers Also forty dollars in money or its equivalent which she has hereto fore had and one hundred and ten dollars. Item5: I give and bequeath to my daughter Martha S. One Bureau which now (Line missing) and the balance to make her equal with Christiana Andrews and Martilia M. Cranford. My will and desire that my Executor hereafter named pay over to Martha S. Her equitable shares, share and share alike. Item 6: I give and devise to my two youngest sons Travis McLaurin and Hill C. One rifle gun each, and them them to share and share alike with my children above named. Item7: My will and desire is that after all my children shall be made equal and share alike, the residue of my money and notes, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Quincy Ann, during her her natural life, and after her death, all property an effects of every kind be sold and equally divided among all my children. My will and desire is that my two youngest sons Travis McLaurin and Hill C. At the death of my wife take the above named land and divide the same between them. Then pay to the girls such sum or sums as will make all my childred equal, share and share alike. Item8: And whereas my youngest sons Travis Mclaurin and Hill C. are minors, now threrfore it is my desire that my wife Quincy Ann is hereby constituted and appointedGurdian of these my two children to have and to hold the custodyand Guardianshipboth of their respecive persons and estates untill they shall severly arrive at the full age of twenty one years of age. And duly I do herby constitute and appoint my beloved wife my lawful Executrixto all intents and purposes to executethis my Last Will and Testament. according to the true intent and meaning of the same. In wittness wher of I the said Temple Cranford do hereunto set my hand and seal , this 24th day of March, A. D. 1871 Signed, sealed and declared by thesaid Temple Cranford to be his last Will and Testimate in the presence of us who athis request and in his presence do subscribe our names as witnesses thereto.
