First I give to my son Edward Thornberry where his House is containing One Hundred and Fifty Acres of land as it is laid off for him Also I give to my son William Thornberry the Place where he now lives Containing one Hundred and fifty acres as it is Laid off for Him & the part of the land where I now live Called the Old Place. I will to my Sons in manner Following in the First Place my wife Ann Thornberry is to Have the use of the House and all the House Hold Furniture three Cows Her Choice of the Stock the White Mare & Colt during her Natural Life & at Her own Disposal and my sd sons Edward and William Thornberry is To Find of all her Household Provisions & firewood while she lives & after her death the land Edward and William Thornberg is to Pay to Each of my Eight daughters Five pounds and to Ann & Jane Thornberg daughters of my son Thomas Thornberg deceased five pounds each In all fifty pounds and to my said 2 sons is to Have the use of the Land immediately & in case either of my daughters die the five pounds in that case is to go to her children & if one of my grandaughters die the other is to have the ten pounds.
