It is the Everett cemetery and is located by the old Everett house at 222 LeGrand street just blocks off the downtown area of Rockingham Buried there is a former Secretary of State of North Carolina, William Nash Everett I. His father, William Isaac Everett, was also buried there, who was a sergeant in the Confederate Army and a captain with the Railroad. These are the names and dates from the actual tombstones that are erect today in the Everett family cemetery located beside 222 LeGrand Street, in Rockingham, North Carolina (Richmond County). 1.William Nash Everett III Born 9-21-1917 Died June 6, 1977 2. empty 3. Lawrence Everett was the son of JP Jr and Annie Entwistle Little. Facing the gate of the old cemetery, to the far right back corner is a relatively new grave for an urn.,Margaret McLendon Everett DuBose daughter of WN II and Caroline Ashe Lockhart Everett Born: 8-12-1928 died: 10-27-1989 in Gastonia, N.C. Lena Payne Everett London, wife of Isaac Spencer London, she born 8-10-1891 died: 1-9-1930, and infant Henry Armand London born and died same day, 1-8-1930. and both removed about 1=23=1947 to the Eastside (city) cemetery in Rockingham, N.C. by Mr. London to be beside their son, Isaac Spencer London, Jr. who died in the VA Hospital 1-20-1947, born 8=5=1926. The kudzu is a constant threat to the cemetery and the city of Rockinghamn is supposed to be looking after it, although they do not do a great job. The land is owned by my husband, Henry Keel Everett, and his brother, James Lockhart Everett.
