STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA  COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS  RICHMOND COUNTY
January Term 1854

NATHAN T. BOWDEN, REDDICK BOWDEN, Executors of JOHN BOWDEN, deceased
                     vs.
WILLIAM B. JORDAN and MARTHA JANE, his wife; JAMES PANKEY and wife, NANCY, 
THOMAS BOWDEN and JAMES BOWDEN

Petition for Account and Settlement

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the 
defendants,JAMES PANKEY and wife, NANCY; THOMAS BOWDEN and JAMES BOWDEN, 
reside beyond the limits of this State: It is therefore ordered by the Court 
that publication be made for six successive weeks in the N. C. Argus, a 
newspaper published in the Town of Fayetteville, notifying said defendants to 
be and appear at our next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for the 
County of Richmond at the Court House in Rockingham on the 3rd Monday in April 
next, then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition filed. 
Otherwise, judgment will be taken pro confesso and heard ex parte as to them.
Witness, CHARLES C. TERRY, Clerk of the said Court at office on the third 
Monday in January AD 1854.
