October Term, 1848

THOMAS GILSON
      VS.
PHILLIP SNEED

ORIGINAL ATTACHMENT ON LAND

In this case, it appearing to the satisfacton of the Court that the defendant 
PHILLIP SNEED resides beyond the limits of this State: It is therefore ordered 
by the Couort that publication be made in the N. C. "Argus" notifying said 
defendant non-resident to be and appear at our next Court of Pleas and Quarter 
Sessions to be held at the Court House at Rockingham on the third Monday in 
January next: Then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition filed. 
Otherwise judgment will be taken pro confesso and heard ex parte as to him.
Witness R.S. McDONALD, Clerk of said Court at office the third Monday in 
October, 1848.
